We had 3 days of rain but we did not let it dampen the fishing. The smallies were really going good, everyday. Great accommodations, wonderful friendly staff and great owners. The food was terrific, kudos to the cooks. We will both be back, hopefully very soon.

We had a goal coming up here to catch a 40" pike. We had 30-50 fish days every day. 2 fish over 40", one fish at 41 ½", and one 44 ½" fish. The Kolbelka's hospitality was tremendous. Cooking is as good as moms. Maybe better. Thanks for all the memories, we will remember every moment we spent up here. P.S. 85% of our fish were over 30".

I caught the 2 biggest fish in my life. Two days of the trip we had enough fish for lunch in minutes. The last day of the trip was hard catching fish small enough to eat. Shoal Lake has great fishing. The owners treat you like family.

A quaint remote fishing lodge that has all the essentials plus warmth hospitality and willingness. A blessing to be served 3 home cooked meals a day just like moms. All four of us caught our biggest Northerns thus far! Had a wonderful time.

Our party arrived August 6th. About an hour before dark I went to the island 50 yards from the boat dock and caught smallmouth on every cast for 45 minutes!! It was great!

Had a great trip to shoal lake lodge. Caught more fish than any place we have been to. After 2 days of catching smallmouth we got tired of catching them. We then started trolling for pike and caught so many over 30 in. We lost count. Thanks for a great time.
